Here in Paris most of the commuters, including me, are using contactless travel cards that allow us to cross a turnstile in no time (like 2 seconds for some of them). Drawback: it gives you frightening murder ideas each time you have someone blocking a gate because they search for their ticket. "Get the hell out of my way, I'm coming through." 8-

Or, of course, in London, where the same rules apply, particularily number 8.
