How far can spammers go?

Now you can get instant spam via Windows Messenger, according to El Reg. Just when you thought that the light at the end of the tunnel was a way out of email spams, it's actually the front light of the spammers' train coming at light speed to bombard you with crap on anything you can connect to the net. On n'arrête pas le progrès. [update] and if you believe they will reduce pace, check this trick (from More Like This). Really scary, I've actually seen this before.
