Bushfire Relief Sale at SitePoint

SitePoint is raising money for the Red Cross to help the victims of the huge fires currently devastating the state of Victoria in Australia. They're doing so by selling 5 PDF books for $29.95 (the price of one, a bargain). 100% of the money will go to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009. Hurry up, the sale ends on Friday 13th.

(We were in Melbourne during the last week of January, and the temperature raised to a record 48°C, we thought we were in an oven. The weather was dry and very windy, the land was dry everywhere and they face big water problems, no wonder the fires have been devastating. If you need convincing, check out the photos at The Big Picture.)

just to say about the Picture 23,
this is not just melted metal, like's said in the comments.
this is aluminium, and the aluminium melting point is 600°C (like a cigarette)
Clearly, it was hot but not like on the sun.

NB: sorry for my english.
